Our team is here to help! Whether you need clarification, a specific question, or more about our services, we'd love to hear from you.
Cosmin worked on the development of a new kind of personality test for us from the ground up. He did a fantastic job and absolutely understands psychology in a very deep way. We're grateful for his work and look forward to working with him again in the future.
The personality assessment typically takes 25-30 minutes to complete. You can pause at any point, save your progress, and return later to finish. We recommend completing it in a quiet environment where you can reflect carefully on each response. For accurate results, it's important that you answer honestly.
The assessment is based on established personality research, drawing primarily from the Five Factor Model, one of the most widely used frameworks in personality psychology. Its design has been informed by academic research and open-source information on commercial inventories such as the NEO PI-R, Hogan Personality Inventory, HEXACO, and BFI-2. Our personality assessment continues to be reviewed and refined through an ongoing validation process and with help from subject matter experts.
The assessment is undergoing continuous validation as additional data is collected across diverse working populations. Initial analyses provide evidence of reliability and meaningful relationships with workplace behaviours. As the research dataset grows, further analyses will continue to evaluate reliability, validity, and the effectiveness of the framework. Findings will be published as the research matures. For further technical information about the validation process, please contact us at hello@the-innerview.com.
Yes. This assessment is still in development and is not live yet, so no results data is collected or stored through it today. When it launches, your data will be encrypted, securely stored, and accessible only to authorised individuals, your results will be shared only with you unless you choose to provide access to others, and we will not share your individual assessment data with third parties without your permission. You will be able to request access to your information or ask for it to be deleted at any time by writing to hello@the-innerview.com. See our Privacy Policy and our Ethical Standards and BPS Compliance page for more detail.
The assessment supports both individuals and organisations. For example, individuals may gain more awareness of their personality characteristics, working preferences, motivations, strengths, and potential development areas. In parallel, organisations can use these insights to support talent development, team effectiveness, leadership growth, role alignment, and career conversations.
This assessment is designed to support personal development, career planning, talent management, and team composition. It is not a clinical or medical evaluation and must not be used for medical diagnosis, psychological screening, or clinical purposes. Results should be considered alongside other relevant information and professional judgement, particularly when making important employment decisions. The assessment is not intended to replace interviews, skills evaluations, performance discussions, or other internal decision-making processes. Assessment results are intended to serve as a supportive guiding tool and should never form the sole basis for high-stakes employment decisions, including hiring, promotion, or termination. Organisations are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws and anti-discrimination regulations. We expressly disclaim any liability arising from discriminatory practices or adverse employment actions resulting from the misuse of the instrument or its metrics.
No. Results are provided as an educational guiding tool. This assessment is one source of insight among several that should inform hiring and selection decisions. It is not designed to be used as the sole basis for employment decisions, and we do not recommend using it that way. Personality data should be considered alongside interviews, references, skills assessments, and other relevant information. Organisations remain responsible for ensuring their selection processes comply with UK employment law, including the Equality Act 2010, and for making final decisions based on a fair evaluation of all evidence.
No. This is a workplace personality assessment, not a clinical or diagnostic tool. It does not screen for, diagnose, or indicate any psychological, psychiatric, or medical condition. Results describe behavioural tendencies, personality characteristics, and work style preferences only. We discourage using these results to draw conclusions about mental health or clinical conditions. If you have concerns about your psychological wellbeing, we recommend consulting a qualified clinical psychologist or healthcare professional. Assessment results should be used only for their intended purpose of supporting workplace development and self-awareness.
We aim to make our assessments accessible and inclusive. If you have a disability, condition, or neurodevelopmental difference that may affect your experience, please contact us at hello@the-innerview.com before completing the assessment. Where possible, we can discuss reasonable adjustments such as additional time, alternative formats, or other suitable arrangements. If we are not able to fit your needs, we will try and recommend solutions or guide you to appropriate support.
Unlike many online personality quizzes based on simple self-ratings, this assessment uses a forced-choice approach. Instead of rating how much you agree with statements, you select between similarly desirable descriptions of behaviour and preferences. This approach helps reduce response bias and provides a more balanced view of personality characteristics.
Responses are analysed using a modern psychometric approach based on Thurstonian Item Response Theory rather than simple score addition. This allows forced-choice responses to be modelled more accurately and produces trait scores that account for response patterns. Results are presented as percentiles against a relevant comparison group, helping you understand how your profile compares with others in the same job industry. Comparison groups continue to expand and improve as further validation data becomes available.
The forced-choice format is designed to reduce the impact of impression management and socially desirable responding. The options are balanced for desirability, so inflating a favourable image is difficult. Also, the assessment runs response-style checks driven by our agentic psychometric intelligence system, checking response-style to flag careless, random, dishonest, or inconsistent responding.
Yes. The report provides an overview of your personality profile, including behavioural patterns, decision-making preferences, responses under pressure, motivators, demotivators, potential development areas, and workplace preferences. It also includes practical recommendations and development actions tailored to your results, helping you apply your insights to professional growth and career decisions.
